AGLOW HAS A DISTINCT GOD-ASSIGNED MANDATE FOR ISLAM

In 1991 God spoke to Aglow about Islam and its people, the Muslims, through a prophetic word. This word pictured the religious/political system of Islam as a cloak covering all Muslims and keeping them in darkness. God challenged us to take hold of a thread from that garment in His power and join Him in unraveling it until Islam is disrobed and the people set free.

Pray that every person in Aglow will

  • hear the cry of God’s heart for the people of Islam to be set free from its darkness

  • discern the specific role God has for him or her, whether praying fervently, reaching out to Muslims, speaking out publicly – whatever the Lord has in mind

  • be obedient to God’s call and compelled by His love

There are about 1.9 billion Muslims in the “House of Islam”, diverse in their personal lifestyles, cultures, languages, knowledge of their faith, level of devotion, and theological interpretations – just like Christians! But one thing characterizes all Muslims – they are blinded from seeing Jesus for who He is, God’s eternally existing Son who died in their place so they could be made holy and experience eternal life as a gift from God the Father.

Pray for

  • the stronghold of lies about the true nature of the Triune God to collapse and its captives set free

  • open hearts to receive His loving invitation to belong to His eternal family

  • cleansing from all Islamic ideology and being born again in spirit and truth

  • the Church to embrace believers from Muslim backgrounds

(Luke 3:5-6, 4:18-19, 11:21-22; John 3:16-17)

Many Christians are afflicted by fear, apathy and even hatred in relation to Muslims. Many Muslims and Christians alike confuse Western culture with a true expression of Christian faith.

Pray for

  • the Church to hear and follow Jesus’ recurring command to not be afraid

  • to become Kingdom-minded people who boldly go and make disciples among Muslims

  • to change the game in our nation by speaking the truth in love and demonstrating love in action

(Matthew 10:28-31, 28:19-20; Luke 12:4-5; Acts 4:29)
